A nice keepsake of a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon spent in the company of some fine musicians and good friends in the Immanuel church in Tacoma, Washington State, in the autumn of 2009.

The minister of the church is a blues nut and invites great players in once a month for a gig he terms "Blues Vespers". Nothing churchy about this session, though - the minister gives a brief homily which might be considered vaguely spiritual, but it's nothing to upset even an arden atheist such as me (the day I was there, he reminisced about being a teenager at the Woodstock Festival).

What you get, though, is some great music and a wonderful, positive welcoming vibe... It happens on the third Sunday of the month... go check it out sometime!
