Democracy NOW! - DN! Exclusive - In a national broadcast interview, we speak with world-renowned political dissident and linguist Noam Chomsky about the release of more than 250,000 secret U.S. State Department cables by WikiLeaks. In 1971, Chomsky helped government whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg release the Pentagon Papers, a top-secret internal U.S. account of the Vietnam War. Commenting on the revelations that several Arab leaders are urging the United States to attack Iran, Chomsky says, "Latest polls show] Arab opinion holds that the major threat in the region is Israel, that's 80 percent; the second threat is the United States, that's 77 percent. Iran is listed as a threat by 10 percent," Chomsky says. "This may not be reported in the newspapers, but it's certainly familiar to the Israeli and U.S. governments and the ambassadors. What this reveals is the profound hatred for democracy on the part of our political leadership." • Capitalism is the wage slavey of immense humanity for the abstract process of capital accumulation and concentration in the hands of a few. A system of perpetual war, poverty, exploitation, enviornmental destructions, animal cruelty of industrial proportions.A system of suppression of our true creative potentials, Capitalism is the imposition of fear, insecurity and dehumanisation. WE NEED TO SHARE THE EARTH IN COOPERATION FOR OUR COLLECTIVE NEEDS AND WELL BEING

  • @toknowandgrow His writings are just a bunch of stupid lies. The man is a delusional self-hating conspiracy nut. Of course, he writes it in an intelligent way, but it's just to keep the deception going and fool people like you.

  • "And men will turn to hate"

  • I don't even really disagree with what Professor Chomsky says. But his reasoning has got to be the flimsiest I've ever heard.

"A poll of arab countries who have essentially no free press and hate America and Israel all show that ~80% of respondents think that they are the true threat and not a rival muslim theocracy."

    Here's another assertion:

"80% of Americans are Bible believing Christians so therefore the Bible is true and Christianity is the correct religion."

    Weaksauce.

  • Who are our evil leaders worshiping to think they can tell every nation in the world what to do??? I'd blow the head off every evil snake who had enough power to do that! Load your shotguns!!!

  • Is Chomsky a catholic?

  • @ThisBoyTV No, war has ponly casued us to go out and get deeper in debt the the money changers. They need us to stay around ofr the fight becasue without us there are no consumers who can pay them back for the mnoney each counbtry has to borrow to faciulitate the war machine. We all lose whenthat happnes.

  • @ThisBoyTV No sir, we can't even take care of oiur own back yard, The constitution prohibits aggressor type wars. If you go back far enough and do due diligence in research you wil find that we are the agressor in almost every war inththe last centuryt. War is good for the econmy they say. But at what cost? I've learned that those who finance both sides of any war are the onhly onbes who truely prifit from war making. Big money backs both sides and reaps the dividends and conreners the market.
