Perfect song. Can't stop listening these last months.

Reminds me of being a student-fab little band

politics aside, McCarthy did some great little pop songs. I couldn't care less for the messages. Can't help but cringe when politics and music are mixed. its rarely pulled off successfully.

What an amazing band they were! sweet,sweet,memories!

@Budapestkick Pile of nonsense? I guess that would make you a pile of shit?

Love this song. How cranking is it? One of the best....

@secretsfullofsaucers: careful now.

I agree with you, but i also thought picking the bible, a source of people quest for enlightment, which as many people can also point to many sections of the bible which contain enough violence, sex, murder and varying horrific crimes to make anyone recoil in horror so i think there's also poking fun at religious piety that tends to follow such moral panics, as father ted said, "down with this sort of thing"

You're slightly missing the point (though yes, the bible is a pile of nonsense). The song is a critique of the moral panic that occurs when a shooting or something occurs and its blamed on music, books, video games etc. The song is about someone who murders his brother because he read the story of Cain and Abel.

Should it! Should always be the question, along with everything else that sucks everyone into the matrix of illusion. Should it!
