This name seems to be a diminutive of name Fiona (Hionia). Moreover, the song tells about Ukraine, not about very Russia; and it may be some Ukrainian diminutive or a nickname. The Veneto dialect of the song does not reproduce Russian or Ukrainian [sh]

@Yenott It's strange, the pronunciation of this character it's similar to italian "Barbarossa" (red facial hair), the nickname of Frederick I (Holy Roman Empire)
