Feeding the endangered (LOL) Red Snapper on the Great Wicomico Pogey Boat off Mississippi. According to the Gulf Council, these fish are on the verge of collapse due to overfishing. This last season we could only fish from June 1 to July 18. As the stocks come back and the fish get bigger, the illogical response is that more restrictions are needed to compensate for catching larger fish. Therefore next season we can expect it to be even shorter. Watch the video and make your own judgement. Regulations should not be made for the entire Gulf since the fish populations are different in each area. States should make the regulations that work for their area and extend them to anyone who lands fish in their State. I hear in Florida, the endangered Goliath Grouper (Jewfish) are becoming pests and eat any big catch you are lucky enough to hook. Search YouTube and you will find verification of that.
