  • @lifesasunshine yeah my instructor said the same thing and i have a little foal to!!! :)

  • @WelshCobLover maybe because you are not telling him not to bite you you are just smacking him but i know what you meen!!

  • @HorseLover846 i know what you meen cuz my pony she bites me constantly so i hit her nose and now she hates it when i get near her face so what i did is i yelled super loud ' hey what did you just do to me dont you ever do that again" and then she stopped but sometimes i still hit her nose if she bites hard!!!!

  • i hav been tought not to hit a horses face because dey can get headshy sooo :/???

  • @WelshCobLover If you grooming tie the rope to a pole or fence really short so he can't touch you. My instructer tells me to push him away from me when my foal gets to close to my personal space.. that way he wont try to bite you. Then if he still trys smack him on the muzzel and look at him in the eye and yank his halter like you boss! and he has to listen you. Remember being around horses you have to be strong and the Boss! :) if that helps

  • You've got 3 seconds to react after you are bitten...I prefer not to hit in the face i've seen many horses become headshy from this but I will if I have to. Usually i'm give a nice chest smack, scream "NO!!!!!!" in his face and give his halter a nice yank.

  • @WelshCobLover sorry i didn't meant like viciously abuse it... its just incase he actually bites you and won't let go. don't mistreat the animal

  • @acemaster038 sorry but i dont punch my horses

  • @WelshCobLover punch him on the pressure point of his neck... .___.

  • @WelshCobLover smack hard and yell as loud as you can sometimes even walking away will help..he will follow you eventually then go back and try to continue whatever you were doing
