The pope is respected wherever he goes. He doesn;t need to show off. as some people say . He simply appears, and wherever he goes many people are going to receive him respectfully. The Roman catholic church is the most respectful and trustly of the word. This is what the world say about it! The pope is a diplomatic representant of the Roman Catholic church.Themainpurpose of his visits is to take the good news to the world. And no one do as He does. We also live in an era of mass ignorance! What happened at WYD has never been seen before in Australia, where the goodness came out in many people. It was for me and for many others one of the best times of their lives in a spiritual sense, knowing that they are a part of something worldwide. No bad came out of WYD, and if you look at it from a financial perspective Im sure all the overseas pilgrims spent alot of money. So dont criticise what others believe, just be respectful and accepting:)

I just saw the pope on t.v leave sydney airport on his why to my city (DARWIN) just for some more fuel in the plane :)

World Youth Day in Australia 2008 = just one big marketing effort by the Catholic church and its Pope to keep the money rolling in. People listen to a man, who lives in the grandest palace and controls the greatest accumulation of wealth and riches in the world, lecture them on being materialistic!

This song is a compliment and a credit to all of the cathoilcs in Australia. It is fantastic to see all of the youth looking so happy and enjoying their faith. The song for wyd08 will live for me and with me for the rest of my life!!! I am a seminarian and the song has given me a new lease of life and gope for the church and for the world!!! As St. Augustine once said, 'To sing is to pray twice'. Well we have and will continue to sing more than twice with this song!!!
