i agree!!!! she captures me like no other female singer.... i am in awe with her skill ....& the vastness & depth of her emotions.. i am transformed always with her rich and nourishing voice ... i thank you for sharing such a gem kya baat!

though she is not even of same gharana,something about her music reminds of kesarbai kerkar. maybe the tone of her voice. the more i listen to her, the more i am convinced that she is the best female vocalist for my taste. such a structured presentation. shaikh saab ka sangat bhi zabardast hai.

@BIBISHAN having said what u said, i think there is no denying that malini tai is a fantastic artist who has never got her due as compared to kishoriji etc. while i personally like her more than many others. there is no denying she is absolute top grade material.

Every Artist has his/her own specialities. Malini ji has her own, she has an inimitable style, because she chose to remain PURE and PRISTINE to her Gwalior style of music. She is a 'PUCCA' Gharanedaar musician, that doesn't mean others aren't. Same way, Veena Tai, Kishori Amonkar ji, Prabha Atre, Gangubai Hanagal and Padma Talwalkar are all stalwarts in their own accords. Comparing these artists with one another actually is pretty mundane, we just need to enjoy what they have offered by singing.

@l1w0lf kishori, Kumarji, Bhimsenji, Lataji don't need publicity and don't mange it also, they are there because of their divinity and extra ordinary singing, why compare likes of maliniji with them? forget it!

Perhaps you have never heard of the great Malinitai ... I have heard her performing live. She's the greatest there is ... I can assure you, she went on and surpassed the promise of greatness. Kishori Amonkar and the others I guess are better at managing publicity for themselves.

Why dont we hear of her achievements as much as those of other masters of

her generation such as Shmt. Kishori Amonkar ?
