12 years ago, I had the honor and privilege of playing an original violin made by Gasparo da Salo in Brescia, Italy. The owner is a private collector, who had the violin certified in Boston, U. S. A. in the 1980's. All I can say is that the sounds coming out of those woods were glorious, specially on the G and D strings. An unforgetable experience.
