WWU now keeps this revived EV1 in hiding, "off the streets", in obedience to evil GM. Will they dare to drive or video it? Latest news: GM contacted WWU, which had restored this EV1, and "reminde...

Honestly? Given the state of affairs for GM, I don't really think they have any room to give you guys any guff. They're the ones that are on the brink of financial extinction. Another thing.. until the Volt is a true EV like EV-1, I'll never buy one. GM needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.

It's really too bad that GM, the oil industri and the other big players don't want ordinary people to choose for them selves. I'm sure that there are those who wants to continue driving a petrol / diesel car, but I wouldn't mind having an electric car at all. It's much better for our planet and I don't have to spend a small fortune on petrol and spare parts. These greedy big shots sacrifice our planet for their own personal gain.

It looks like GM made it in purpose to make this car really but really ugly...i mean come on...people's first impression is the look of the car how can they not know that?I really think they wanted this car to disappear from the market and try to kill the idea of the electric car...but to bad for them the blowback of depending on oil is coming sooner or later.

And how come the people who did the Tesla Roadster had a beautiful design.

Actually, GM "donated" disabled, gutted copies to various universities, in this case, WWU; WWU had to agree to certain conditions GM required, among them, that it NEVER be restored to full all-electric mode. GM apparently contacted WWU and now they can't show it or GM would confiscate it (unless they put in a gas engine).

The size, shape and aerodynamics were at the heart of the car. People don't seem to realize the critical factor that weight and aerodynamics play in a battery only car, at least until the batteries get better (and they are). The battery pack is taxed to the absolute limits of design to provide what most buyers see as usable range and performance, and it is a tribute to the designers to come up with such a "real world" package given that limitation (at least as nice as msot Geo Metros or Storms

I can't believe everyone turned thier ev-1s back in...
Like they could have said it was "stolen".

Spine less drones who caved in. and gave them back.
At least this man has his honor.

FOR SHAME, ALL OF YOU WHO GAVE BACK YOUR EV-1s. FOR SHAME!

Actually, this belongs to WWU, and they caved in, too. GM has a legion of lawyers, and was threatening fomer lessees with unlimited damages, implicitly the threat of jail.
