For a biology project on survival instinct, I wrote a parody of the song, "I will Survive." The lyrics are based on the natural responses in the body.
First I was afraid
I was petrified
I was cornered by a predator
And I'm not a violent guy
But then my hormones kicked in
And trust me, it's no lie
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on
And so I snapped
And my heart raced
I fought back like never before
And with superhuman strength
I never knew that cortisol
Could do so much for me
Increased blood pressure and sugar
And adrenaline for speed
So now I'll go
And fight some more
Thanks to my hormones
And my instinctual core
I'm habituated to know just where you are gonna hide
So I won't crumble
No I won't lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
As long as my imprinting
Helps me to realize
Fixed patterns give you away
Because I've learned to recognize
So I'll survive
I will survive
There's hardly any organ
Unaffected by
The processes that happen
In the endocrine
Like relaxing the bronchioles
And raising hair up high
Thanks to nerve signals from my brain
I think I just might stay alive
And you'll see me
Somebody new
My pituitary sends my
Adrenal glands their tropic cue
My body takes me away
From the guy I used to be
Now I'm gonna make you pay
For trying to eat me
So now I'll go
And fight some more
Thanks to my hormones
And my instinctual core
I'm habituated to know just where you are gonna hide
So I won't crumble
No I won't lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
As long as my imprinting
Helps me to realize
Fixed patterns give you away
Because I've learned to recognize
So I'll survive
I will survive
I super like this.. Can I use your song for my report in biology??
