The Phoenix Lights, sometimes referred to as "the Lights over Phoenix", is the popular name given to a series of optical phenomena and sightings that took place in the sky over the U.S. states of Arizona and Nevada, and the Mexican state of Sonora on March 13, 1997. A similar incident occurred April 21, 2008, although this incident was later reported to be a prank--flares attached to helium balloons. Lights of varying descriptions were seen by thousands of people between 19:30 and 22:30 MST, in a space of about 300 miles, from the Nevada line, through Phoenix, to the edge of Tucson. There were two distinct events involved in the incident: a triangular formation of lights seen to pass over the state, and a series of stationary lights seen in the Phoenix area. The United States Air Force (USAF) identified the second group of lights as flares dropped by A-10 Warthog aircraft which were on training exercises at the Barry Goldwater Range in southwest Arizona. Notable among those who reported they had observed a huge carpenter's square-shaped UFO, having lights or light emitting engines.

  • @2pacalypse25 Yeah, because flares move like that and then disappear. And they come back every few years. They're UFOs.

Apparently you don't know the definition of UFO. It doesn't mean alien even though I believe they are aliens.

  • I seen this shit last night as of friday 13th 2012 but it was 3 red lights formated into a triangle was scary shit!

  • @kingv911 Fail.

  • @Staroth999 Also, the phrase "epic fail" is way overused and needs to end. The word EPIC used to be a great word, now it has been trampled into a tween catchphrase.

  • @kingv911 anybody*

  • @Staroth999 Yes, and now she wants what she did write to sell by the boatload. I just once want to see actual evidence besides video footage from miles away, at night, with a mediocre camcorder. Is there any body out there, with all the sightings that has actually taken a clear picture? Come on. If that happens I'll give it more thought. I also find it interesting that most sightings occur near military installations. Who would've thunk it?

  • @kingv911 epic fail.

  • @kingv911 She has plenty of money, resources and intelligence to write a book. Try again.

  • That doctor just wants to hype it up to sell her stupid book.
