Retina Display vs. Older Apple Display

i was just playing around with my canon vixia hf r10 again today, and i realized very quickly that it had a very short minimum focusing distance, so i decided to see if i could make a good screen comparison like i had wanted to for myself and for others.

turns out that it could. now, i'm still not sure as of right now how it's going to look on youtube (because it downgrades the quality), but i'm sure it'll look ok, although i do recommend full screen, or at least HD viewing because it really helps. trust me.

i'm sure that there are people who have not yet gotten a new apple 4th generation device (meaning the iPhone 4 or the iPod Touch 4th gen), and they want to see what the differences are between the old display and the new retina (assuming that they haven't seen the new retina already).

the raw file from my camcorder looks great, and i'm hoping that this will make the differences just as obvious. i'm also sure that i messed up somewhere in the video. please don't hate, i kinda made this video on the spot. if i made an error, just tell me and i'll go back and fix it.
