according to Karl Pilkington, Hummus is not a meal. He saw a restaurant once that just served Hummus, he said "it's not going to work, it will be shut down within a month".

Hey...This dish is well known world wide as great M.E dish.Following ingredients required are.Raw chick peas soaked overnight in cold water with a little bit of bi-carb powder to help soften them. then boil the chick peas till soften add fresh parsley, fresh mint, garlic, lemon, salt, cumin.B
lend them together using a little water chick peas being boiled in before then add sesame seed paste. For tangy taste.some people opt not to use Tahini which gives it a flat taste.Thats my way of cooking it Enjoy. -
@Luderwick Well it technically isn't hummus if it isnt made with tahini.

This is not hummus—you must have tahini—DUH!
-
Just of your information you need Taheena, because without Taheena it's not Homos.
-
It definitely needs tahini (sesame paste) and far less salt.

Folks, I'm not going to be a purist. Call it Chick Pea dip if you want to. Anyway, to be exact, Hummus bi Tahini is Chickpea with Sesame Paste. Technically, hummus means chickpea, nothing more, nothing less. Be that as it may, if someone can't find tahini it their small town in the middle of nowhere, I don't want them to forego this great 'dip.' To satisfy you purists, though, I'll be happy to post another very short video in which I do include Tahini. I won't even comment on the salt.
