But India needs Aegis/Patriot/THAAD Missile Defense vs China. Tejas=Mirage 2K type obsolete OK 4 R&D but 5th Gen Fighters r needed.

SU-30's limited No's, India sends Engines back to Russia for Repairs, not Strategically smart.

India must get coalition w/ Strategic Countries, Japan & USA (base?) to defend vs China String of Pearl attack plans.

Can't trust Russia they will support China ahead of India always. Independent Military capability is essential.

@sauravpanja Considering the ban on technology transfer, imort of semiconductors and warfare equipment imposed by UNSC following India's nuclear tests in 1998, Tejas has evolved quite fast.

Checkout the amount spent on foreign fighters and the time taken for the complete development.

Relatively, India has done a great job, considering all the facts and ground based realities..
