So Hollywood stop making this mistake.Stick to the spirit of the cartoon or well loved t.v show,and you will have a winner!Start changing to many things,or ignore the original recipe,FAILURE!Another example of great cartoon to movie failure is Avatar.Boy M.Night,could have made cinema history,but no,FAILURE!

@themirrorsofmymind Considering that Count Chocula, etc. didn't appear until the '70s, and "Underdog" was originally made in the '60s, General Mills was probably selling the likes of Cheerios, Trix, Cocoa Puffs and Kix back then.

@lildude1121 And to slip in commercials for "Boo Berry", "Count Chocula" and "Franken Berry". General Mills made this cartoon to sell cereal to kids much like Proctor & Gamble made Soap Operas to sell Detergent to house-wives.

The movie version of underdog,quite frankly,screwed the proverbial pooch[ha ha,pooch,get it?]The mistake that so many film producers make is,putting they're spin on a characture instead of sticking to what made the show or cartoon so fun to watch in the first place.I watched the underdog movie expecting to see underdog being shoeshine boy,riff raff in a penstripe suit[at least a wolf] or at the least,simon and cad look alikes or sound alikes.They didn't stick at all to the spirit of the cartoon.

@sirebane2012 I agree that the Underdog movie did a real injustice to the original cartoon. Underdog did not have a master. That was silly.

@lildude1121 In 1960's, cartoons ran for about 5 minutes at a time. My guess was that in order to keep the children's attention, they had to have breaks with other cartoons so they wouldn't get bored.
