Jerry admitted in one interview that he was jealous about Layne's Mad Season work. It's still up on youtube. So I don't disagree with that. And it's also true that Jerry wanted to do more touring for the Dog record and they could not because of Layne' drug problems, which is of course frustrating. But all this does not mean Jerry didn't love Layne. He definitely did. Everyone gets frustrated with people they love sometimes, but the love is still there.

@tinmanluver35 u can take what i say and interpret it however u choose..but like u have ur own opinion i also have my own..i stil and do believe that jerry felt layne to be a hinderance to his band and his own success..yes i know they were very succesful in the early 90s but after that they hardly toured and layne addictions had stopped or hindered alot of things to aic..there is a interview somewhere where jerry says that he would just like to be the singer and guitarist for aic..

No way. Jerry loved Layne to death. If you think for one second that Jerry is glad because Layne is gone, then there is something seriously wrong and you know absolutely nothing about this band. I take it as a personal insult that you say that because I know what its like to lose someone you deeply love. I cannot believe you would accuse Jerry of such a thing. I'm pretty sure Layne would be disgusted with that.

@laynestaley1990 u can take my words and interpret them as u may..but not for one min did i mean that jerry was jumpin for joy when layne died..he has stated several times that he(jerry) would love to be the guitarist and lead singer for aic..so take it as u may but ive explained myself enough to people i dont even know and could less about there opinion i just wont have my words turned into horse shit...jerry was jealous of layne point blank

Layne was amazing and funny. Oh man shit wish we could have him back. I actually pretty much listened to this back in 99 when I was like 17 not quite 18 yet. Whoever dissed Layne and Jerry and the whole band needs to STFU before I kick their ass.
