" tu m'as ensorcelé" means " you bewitched me " the meaning is also very linked to the context , here , Seurel, is clearly upset, because meaulnes does not want to go see Yvonne. Of course, meaulnes and seurel are emerging from adolescence, a  period quite ambiguous we could say in a literal sense, he is angry from a symbolic point of view it shows a certain ambiguity also because Meaulnes has a sort of seductive power over seurel, he is the guy François would like to be

i don't believe that was the connotative definition of "love."
