The old testament is a plagiarist copy of Sumerian text, which is also probably a copy of perhaps myths from Gobekli Tepe

Gobekli Tepe isn't Eden. It pre-dates "Eden." Key in my user name sapiensape into the above YouTube search box for my 13 videos on Eden's pre-biblical origins traced by PhD scholars at Universities and Seminaries, 1862-2009, including who Eden's god was, who Eden's Serpent was, who Adam was, who Eve was, who the Cherubim were, the trees of Knowledge and of life are also identified.

This is one of the most important sites on earth. Everything we think we are and want comes from here in a way, this is the womb and a monument of our first collective sorrow. The echo of these beliefs can still be heard though the cacophony of modern religion. The burying of this place may well represent the "romantic" putting away of old ways. Done by a simple hand farming community for their recently lost freedoms, a easier hunter gatherer past, an idyllic life in the not to distant memory.

Part 2
As the terrain dried out about 8000bc and the forests withered these people had to turn to farming to keep there larger communities fed, gone was the era of wandering naked though the forests picking bountiful fruit. In a way we have never stopped crying for that time, just got busier and further away from this hidden place and the life it represented. We still believe we will get back there when we die. That is what the garden of Eden story is all about.
