lol, thanks to YouTube I now finally see, after 32 yrs of punishing my fingers on a steel string flattop trying to last out this tune, that this beautiful version is via a nylon string guitar ;) Doh!

one night I got home pleasantly elevated,turned on the tv it showed me some strange movie about a giant and maybe there was a dwarf and a pretty blonde girl I think and I don't remember any dialogue just some nutty acoustic guitar playing. I wish I could remember the name of the movie but from it's credits I first heard the name Leo Kottke.
