Gentile, my ass!!! I got thrown 2 days ago and still feel it today. If it happened on concrete, my wife would be visiting me in ICU(intensive care unit) at the local hospital.

Judo is such a counterdictive term, 'cause judo is hard as F**k:P
Kiking, punching, striking, whatever all come naturally to humans. Sutemi-waza (in judo) includes all that. Yet in a selfdefense situation a good judoka, on the street, don't even need all that crap. As a kid was a street fighter and boxer, then learned judo very young and all you need is to throw an uchimata or tai otoshi fast and intense throw on the pavement ( no fk matts) and anybody could be completely fucked.REALITY

Some say judo is not as effective in a self- defense situation. I believe that if an assailant is dressed and standing on asphalt; he is finished, specially when a good judoka knows what he/she is doing. In a real confrontation the judoka could block, dodge, punch and kick until the grip or grab is snatched, and then you do the judo swift, hard to the full extent with no referee...
