The Iodine Clock reaction is an oscillating reaction that reverses between a clear and dark brown solution. Any bubbles you see form is indicative of an oxidation reaction (solution B contains hydrogen peroxide).

  • @canadaponygirl Solution A was a combination of distilled water, sodium iodate, and sulfamic acid. Solution B was a combination of hydrogen peroxide, malonic acid, starch, and manganese sulfate.

  • What chemicals are in solutions A and B?
