I saw the northern lights in 2003 in April. I thought there was a massive fire over the northwest from me then gradually realised it was the northern lights as it changed colours lol.

time lapsed. that wasn't a shooting star. it was the transit of a planet.

@AliceSacco Yes ...looks the geuine article ...saw Aurora from central Ireland (rural)....late 50s..were a bit like this but had slightly more colour.
