  • this is also known as Spears Ferry. My mom's entire family is from Natural Tunnell

  • the area around natural tunnel, speers ferry and gate city is probably my favorite train watching area!

  • i just got back from here. this was probably the most amazing spot we visited

  • I believe the high trestle is CSX/Clinchfield whereas the low trestle is NS/Southern.

  • Is the high trestle still in use ?

  • Bridge has wooden piers. Something you dont see much anymore with the heavier equipment the railroads are using today.
