From Crispus Attucks to Colin Powell, blacks have willingly served our country. Five thousand fought in The Revolution; 200,000 served in The Civil War; 380,000 were in World War I; 1,200,000 were in World War II; 600,000 fought in Korea and 275,000 were in Vietnam. 21% of all military
personnel are black compared to 12% of the general population. In their hearts, according to the film, they know the reason why their ancestors fought so bravely despite obvious social injustice...they fought For Love Of Liberty.
