BJ Davis Two World Records

BJ Davis is a producer and director who has worked with Academy Award-winning feature film directors Clint Eastwood and Oliver Stone. He has also worked in close collaboration with four-time Emmy Award winner Arthur Allan Seidelman. He began his film-industry career as a stuntman, stunt coordinator and second unit director.

As a means of making himself more known, BJ decided to break two world stunt records and set his own, which is exactly what he did: a high fall from a helicopter into the ocean from 180 feet and an aerial neck suspension beneath a helicopter at 70 mph, at 1,000 feet for a period of 20 minutes of flight, as depicted in this video. These two world records still stand, and as a testament to their danger, another stuntman was unfortunately killed trying to beat them.

Davis has worked as a stuntman in over 180 films and television shows and as a second unit director/stunt coordinator in over 250 films and television series. He was inducted into the Hollywood Stuntmen's Hall of Fame (other members include movie superstar Kirk Douglas, an American icon John Wayne, pioneer stuntman Yakima Canutt and Jackie Chan ).

BJ Davis doubled Academy Award winners Tom Hanks, Jack Nicholson, Tommy Lee Jones, Michael Caine and Art Carney. He studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

BJ Davis directed Brandon Lee in his first feature film, "Laser Mission".

His wife, Julia Davis (II), doubled Angelina Jolie.
