The Victoria Line is over 40 years old and has the biggest tunnels. When they built the line they wasn't expecting such a rapid incline in use. These are the biggest "tube" trains on the network by design and take advantage of the Victoria Line's larger loading gauge.
You can't make wide trains without wide tunnels. On a tube system it's not about the size of the train but it's about the acceleration, braking rates and frequency of the trains that moves passengers quickly from A to B.

@captaincoolpants11 No, a new 2009 stock train gets introduced every 2 weeks. Now, the entire fleet is made up of 2009 stock

When the train pulled up I was reminded of that lovely tube platform smell. Unique smell to London I believe, I've never seen a subway system smell just like it.

I don't know if you were aware, but this unit, 11003, is one of the now scrapped prototype 2009TS sets (11001-004), so this is somewhat of a rare piece of footage.

@LondonCityTour That trains very posh
-
@Cazkumali It is, built in derby By Bombardier
-
@LondonCityTour Because Bombardier Made it(Bombardier Acquired ADtranz in 2001 along with the Derby Factory and other various adtranz products except the incentro line which was suspended for production)
it looks so slow there as today they are much faster.
