  • I just want to find who did the introduction so I can commend them on their mastery of the english language.

  • @Astromyxin yea sorry it was me lol, 31 years as a roofer i didn't have time to get my masters degree in grammar,

it must be so good being the dogs bollocks eh, INVU

  • @kempouk A simple C+ in high school english class would suffice. I've got 11 years as a roofer under my belt, and I still manage to read and know spelling and grammar. That's one of the reasons why I'm a project manager now. Being able to speak and write proper english is a big part of roofing(in America). I've worked with so many derelicts it's not even funny. What ended up happening to them? They either got fired or are still wearing their toolbelt now at 50, 30 years later.

  • @Astromyxin im to good at my job and would hate all that office crap, we find over here if you cant lay a roof to top standars then just get a job in the office lol..

    good luck to you,,

  • who done this roof ?? a team of monkeys by the look of it ,

  • @nickibryan1 god knows ,

aparently it was the decorators, they told the jewish builder that they used to be roofers and the can fit the roof..

  • I have been roofing for 48yrs...........I don't know whether to laugh or cry, I have seen this standard of workmanship many times before on roofs appalling. You we right not to try and repair the leaks, in my opinion it would cost more for repairing the roof than to strip and start afresh, that apart, you are seen repairing this abortion and folk passing by will think you have done the job!

  • has the ready mix lorry turned up yet im waiting to bed the velux, and tomorrow son we are going the fit the 4x2 under-cloaks, after that we will be fitting the half inch ply barge boards, then screw the tiles to the roof,

oh and to stop the dormer flat roof from leaking we shall be masticating the tile perps over at least 4 courses, that should fix it...

it goes on and on and on,,

and they saved a few bob on fitting gutter brackets at 2.4 m intervals lol..

  • I can only dream of being this good

  • looks good from outer-space

  • Iv seen a lot worse even these days there's still a lot of crap roofers out there but Wat I don't get is they always av work its crazy

  • @kempouk I still put my toolbelt from time to time, and I still enjoy it, don't get me wrong. It's just that carrying bales of tiles or bundles of shingles or rolls of rubber around forever doesn't really sound like an enticing future to me. I got to where I am by being the best at what I do, understanding the products and roofing system applications of the area, not the other way around. I ain't no desk jockey. I do have a pretty bitchin' clipboard though, hehe. Sorry I ragged on your english.
