  • if this song wouldn't have bass, even EC couldn't do nothing. As far as I can see this is only gain contoller like some amps have

  • no thats not what an EC does. all songs have a bass line. its created by the bass guitar or kick drum thats in every piece of music. the difference is that in songs like this the bass line is really low and dosen't register. the EC amplifies this bass line and brings it up to the level that a speaker would normally play it at. if you know anything about a gain controller its not the same.

  • Well sir the purpose of an epicenter is to change the boost frequency. most amps have a preset bass boost of 1-10db at 45Hz this means anything higher or lower will not get the full 1-10db of boost becasue of frequency drop off. the epicenter gives you 1-10db of bass boost at any frequency yu desire especially if the resonant frequency of ur box is tuned low thus not making more bass but using your box more effectively, ha ha i laugh at you n00b's and yes you are ignorant!!!!!

  • @1017BrickSqwad properly tuning a sound system is probably the most overlooked aspect of caraudio. (aside from noobs being concerned with total watts or adding a sub without changing the speakers) Good post.

  • hey sounds really good bro,can you tell me what kind of mids or tweets are those next 2 your subs, thanks

  • is the epicenter good when using a ported box

  • @shavrolae the epicenter makes the bass deeper and smoother kinda like bass restoration

  • hey whats the difference with an epicenter?

does it make the bass louder & sound cleaner?

does it make it sound better than it normally is?

  • I've got essentially what is an epicenter for the home. Audiocontrol had something for the home / pro market called the Phase Coupled Activator or PCA for short. Its basically an epicenter and a 2 way electronic crossover in a rackmount chassis. Its great. I only use it right now for the crossover but it does work well if the level of restoration is set very low...it blends well and doesnt make itself pronounced. If you crank the dial, it of course gets pretty crazy.

  • Its sad to see people ignorant of how an epicenter works say that its a gain controller, or it changes the boost frequency of an amp.. The epicenter uses harmonics to recreate low frequency which was cut off during recording and injects it into the audio signal resulting in more low bass, louder..

  • noone will ever understand an epicenter until they get one....

    enough said

  • i think it work better on a seal box beacause when you turn on the ec it work the subs more

  • The EPIC-160 uses The Epicenters patented bass restoration circuitry, which actually adds lower octaves of bass to any performance autosound system. In addition, the EPIC-160 includes AudioControls Para-Bass equalization, which allows the user to fine-tune the bass response to their specific vehicle. The net result is more basslouder.
