Wow that really sucks sorry to see this and especially $150USD its not like $5. Well there is a way to fix your issue if you are willing to open up your PSP and spend some more money. You can buy a brand new LCD screen and replace it and everything then should work like new.
But why would someone tape a PSP to the box? That is just stupid. I have ordered systems off of Ebay and they use newspaper or something to package it in.
