Jessica, I THINK WHAT YOUR SAYING IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!! Sellers need to be proactive in making their homes attractive to potential buyers.

I feel like I go over the top to get my house ready to sell. It's clean clean clean, staged, & uncluttered, and no one is buying or even looking. I have had comments about how nice my house is, and how move in ready it is but nothing is going on. I feel like were just sitting and it's driving me crazy. We did a price reduction and according to other realtors besides my own, the house is priced great! Any suggestions? We even tried an open house yesterday and no one even showed up.
I cannot really say without knowing your market or seeing it. However, it usually comes down to price, condition, location, and marketing. Your price needs to be better than competition. Location you cannot change or do anything about. And marketing is up to your agent. I don't do open houses-I think they are a waste of time.... If you aren't getting anyone even looking it could still be your price. But again it is hard to say without seeing or knowing your market.
