xaos 98 27 cel. 1100-1200 jumps.

Right before this happened, i had said that I have not had cutaway yet. should have knocked on wood i guess.

I pulled about 2800'(a little lower than i like to, which is normally about 3500')
As you can see it opens ok but with a slight pull to the left. I compensate by grabbing a little right rear riser. i think it was a toggle fire so i release both brakes. The turn gets worse and i look up to notice that there isa tension knot on the left control line in the cascades(later confirmed on the ground). I pump a couple times to no avail...look down at my alti and it reads 1300'....it was well below my basement level but just high enough so I decided to chop. I was under the saddle around 600-700' i would estimate (unfortunately i didnt check). cypress did not fire, RSL was on the rig but not connected.

  • @JumpTeigen Holy crap! Nice! I hope I get to 1000 jumps without having to cut away :)

  • @mchamp3802 A friend of mine has over 7000 jumps and no cutaways.. Always packs himself! 1200 isnt bad either though! :D

  • 1200 jumps and first cutaway is a darn good record!
