@USN288 hey why not if its light

I couldn't hear the fan noise that you recorded due to the unbelievably loud fan noise coming from MY MSI X400, and due to the fact that the MSI X400 speakers suck.
Imagined a beautiful naked long-haired woman blow-drying her hair, and changing the speed of the hair dryer every few seconds-- high, medium, blasting, high, blasting, high, etc, randomly--and you have successfully imagined the fan noise from the piece of crap MSI X400 (except that there is no naked woman involved).

Sorry to hear that. (no pun intended.) I ordered one earlier this morning. We'll see...
I'm surprised it needs much fan at all, being the 5.5 watt SU3500 processor.

fan noise is really annoying :(
Actually, the speed of the fun adjust according to the load, but for some reason it never turns off

Thank you for the vid.
Is there a difference between the x320 and x340 in terms of fan? I'm looking to get the x320...but not if it sounds like that.

so how do you like it so far?
is this the x320? or the x340?
fan runing under what load?
-
there really shouldnt be a fan sound because the x320 i know doesnt have or need a fan im not sure about the x340 but the x320 has a fanless cpu
It's the X340 and I like it a lot actually. Only 2 real negative points:
- missing SIM slot for mobile connectivity (it's actually just an expansion slot for a SIM module which isn't even available yet)
- fan noise: the fan is not regulated - it always runs at full speed, which is not at all necessary for that kind of cpus (as kh2lover10 already posted). Just annoying.
