To all those worried about Raul, here's some knowledge for ya! #1 Raul couldn't tackle for crap (check his stats, Adam is better at tackling than Raul FACT!) #2 Raul had success at the end of the season when he was basically replacing Gerrard (the Lampard role for Chelski) #3 He wasn't even going to make the bench once Gerrard came back #4 He was considered a "bust" at Porto under AVB and #5 He changed his hairstyle not unlike one sulky striker we offloaded to Chelski. 12m we can spend in winter

@94blair, We've got more than enough depth AND we've got versatile players like Kuyt who can play on the wing or striker, Bellamy can play either wing or striker, and Gerrard who's just a true footballer he'd be a stud anywhere you put him on the pitch. Who cares if you're impressed with Carroll he's got more goals for us than Torres has for Chelski, in fewer matches and he's younger AND cost less money, so give the lad some time huh. The service is too good for him to continue slumping.

You've got to be able to see the positives and the positives I saw were we threw EVERYONE at their goal and were just unlucky not to score. Its a long season, we'll be fine. It's not where you start it's where you finish look at last season for evidence of that!

@UFCritical Hey if you want to be a "Negative Nancy" fine by me, but in my opinion "Mr. I'm never wrong about anything" but look at who Chelski have taken from LFC in the past and look at what they've done: Benayoun (injured all of last season), Torres 27 games 1 goal and may not even make the bench next match he couldn't even make the Spain bench against Liechten-freakin-stein! and Miereles who YES is a good player but he couldn't make our bench once Gerrard got healthy and he's fit now.

@boywonderecu I disagree with you - we've sold a quality player in Miereles - TO OUR OPPONENTS!

We will lose to Spurs - Who we never beat! Carrol, Kuyt, Carragher, Skirtl, ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH and only one of them might improve and thats Carrol. The other 3 are on a slippery slope to obscurity and oblivian!

These 4 results are basically our season in microcosm..played 4 win 2 D1 L1 = 7 points from 12!!

We will average 7 from 12 all this year - so we should end up on 58-63 pts

im so happy about how our club has chanced chanced since last and i really believe that we can get into the top 4 this season. the champions league is nothing without liverpool. Kenny has done a great job since his return as manager, i just wish that Kenny Daglish stayed as manager since his 1st because it would have meant that we would have been in man utds spot as in winning back to back titles and we would also had been the club with the most champions league wins in history

Chelski has paid Liverpool £62m for what has so far amounted to 1 goal.....that Torres is really earning his keep huh?

Raul is not necessary to our club anymore. Let me ask you this, would you rather play Raul instead of Gerrard? Instead of Adam? Instead of Lucas? Instead of Henderson or Kuyt? (Sure you may say Henderson but the kid is 21 and has great upside). Would you rather he have Spearing's place on the team? I wouldn't Meireles did his job for us, now he's gone, thems the breaks. @aqibthedon #1 Maxi had more goals and Kuyt had more assists and Lucas had more tackles so statistically Raul was not our best player #2 He played Gerrard's position and we soon wouldn't even have room on the bench for Raul #3 Jordan Henderson is 21 and wasn't that far off Raul's numbers last year with 3 goals and 4 assists.

We're a better team now, if Chelski want to pay £12m for a player that can't make our bench, then so be it.

@boywonderecu raul could tackle, he was our best player last season. he's worth a lot more than 12 million. If chelsea were gonna pay 40 million for modric then raul is worth atleast 20 million. Hendo will never be as good as raul is now. Adam is a different kind of player so i don't think you can compare the two. liverpool have made 3 mistakes in the transfer window.. overpaying for hendo, selling rauul for far too less and missing the opportunity to take benayoun back instead of getn bellamy

@iwangiler yeah and Gerrard is coming back to fitness so its all good because suarez gerrard will be banging goals left right and centre and we cant forget what bellamy can do.
