I just made a dual purpose bike rack out of junk I found around the house and it's working great! it's a parking bike rack after a great ride and becomes a hangar for tuning the bike. not completed yet but it's almost done.

Amen. This is ingenious. The best free standing vertical bike rack on the net. And easy construction using simple 2x4 lumber to boot.

Do you think I could adapt it to hang two bikes, 1 on top of the other?

@acrocha1222 only if you have the support long enough or strong enough to keep the foundation level...I love it & I still have it...if you notice the foot of my bike rack it's too short but if you extend it longer then you should put a longer & stronger foundation...so easy...I didn't spend hundreds on it & it's just 2X4 laying around the house...
