  • great post and much appreciated - keep pickin' my friend!

  • @tonedr Dale I notice all beginners like myself "need" a specific strum pattern to start off. Just to get a rhythm started. When given an "up down up up down" strum pattern it would confuse me if I hit a down instead of an up , enough to just stop and get discouraged. If you are keeping the same tempo while strumming a pattern , and you make a mistake of strumming 2 downs instead of a down ,up if it does not disrupt the "feel" of the tempo, does it really matter? Thanks Dale, enjoy your lessons!

  • Strumming 'feel' is something I have difficulty explaining & need to improve on - all the best with your music!

  • hello friend! I'm very glad you are not affected by the flooding!!!! My daughter is heading over for three weeks this summer and she is very excited! They are touring many sites along the coast - i'm so happy she has the opportunity and our whole family is learning a lot about your great country!

    stay well,

    dale
