An exploration of the natural world. A selection of photographs from a series on the botanical life of the American Southwest by Claudia Toutain-Dorbec.
Specimens for the project were gathered in Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico, and photographed in unusual
arrangements. The artist often grouped or bundled one specimen, or several specimens found at a single location,
into one arrangement. Sometimes birds, stones, dried wood, insects or found objects were included to create a
dialog of the visit. Claudia is a multi-media artist and shows her work in the US and in France.

  • Thank you for your elegant, inspiring and kind words. It was and will continue to be a labor of love.

  • What a glorious rendering of the magical and ineffably beautiful images from your journey to the soul of the botanical world. Love the earthly sounds and the Native American music and song. BRAVO!!!
