In summer 2007, me and a friend went on a 4-day-trip to North Korea, joining a Chinese tour group from Dandong.
On our trip, a cameraman took this video.
The comments are in Chinese, so I added English subtitles. I'm German, so sorry if the English isn't perfect.

  • The flowers at the end of the video, at the memorial, keep falling over. Somehow matches my feelings about North Korea now. ;-( Like its all falling down, like those flowers. Even the flowers were all identical! Ridiculous! The homogeny is just too much, too much!!

  • Are you all buddhists? I am admiring the statues of Buddha and the protrations everyone seemed to be performing. I didn't realize the North Koreans were Buddhists. The lady at 3:29 singing had a lovely voice. Was everybody on the bus required to sing? I would be mortified! Some of them were good, some awful. I cannot understand any of the words though. But thank you for sharing your video! The lady at 5:48 made me laugh!

  • LOL the guy at 5:00 was funny.
