Shooting with my new release Tru Fire Stalker 3 finger thumb style release. Practicing using back tension to activate trigger. Notice the elbow as my back muscles are actually triggering the shot by pulling tension on the release. Practicing this method will get the "surprise release" that is most desired.
Also using my Nockturnal lighted nocks after a full day of shooting our first 40 target 3D shoot.
Target is at 40 yards.

  • funny that someone put a dislike on this video, must be a bowtech hater. probably a mathews guy HAHA don't be hatin

  • Nice work! What set up are you using?

  • @darkcel setup should be in the comments, I have 2009 Bowtech SWAT at 70lbs, 30" draw shooting 30.5" Gold Tip Velocity 300 arrows with 100 grain field points. Bow is outfitted with winners choice strings, 5 pin fiber optic Tru Glow site, Octane Pro Hostage rest, Octane stabilizer, and I'm using a Tru Fire 3 finger thumb style release. I think that is about it, the bow is a true dual cam setup, meaning the cams are not slave to each other. Carbon string stop mounted behind stabilizer for shock.

  • what you are hearing is a loose field point.

  • it kind of sounds like that hostage or whatever rest it is is kind of loud. maybe its just me

  • @BowMayhem413 what you are hearing is a loose field point on the arrow, not the arrow rest .

  • @BowMayhem413 it's just you. notice that I'm shooting from inside my garage, which echos every little bit of sound, and there is no other sound going on whatsoever, so it is like everything is amplified. Believe me, it is a very quiet, reliable, and accurate rest.

  • @nbow27 it is a great target, I've shot thousands of arrows into it and it stops them great. this is a field point only target, yellow jacket also makes a gel block target for broadheads that I also have and it is very good. the field point yellow jacket is nice becaues you can buy new covers for them cheap, I've put one cover over mine after it was completely shredded and it is like brand new again !

  • Nice shooting and do you hunt and how is that yellow jacket target?

  • I love comp bows!
