This inspiring film traces the life and history of one of the Civil Rights Movement's most indelible social activists. The television drama explores the experiences in Mrs. Parks' childhood and adult life that helped her shape the philosophy of "quiet strength" that resulted in her historic moment of peaceful defiance on a segregated bus in 1955. The drama was filmed in Montgomery, Alabama, the city of Rosa Park's courageous action that inspired the Montgomery bus boycott and gave birth to the modern Civil Rights Movement. This also marks the first time Mrs. Parks has participated in a screen adaptation of her life. Angela Bassett, Peter Francis James and Cicely Tyson.

  • Rosa Parks was beautiful. May her ghost hold my hand and may her lips kiss my forehead if I am killed by our mutual enemy in Alabama. I stopped indentured servitude in Baldwin County Alabama. In Mobile I had thieving Sheriff terminated. Now the regime and fed attack me here and threaten me. If war breaks out, remember, technology and collusion has left us blind. To Rosa, saintrambone videos...see them

  • Glen Miller - In The Mood. It's from the early 1940's... Rosa Parks and her friends must have been driving in a time warp.
