Why does everyone hate Christopher, he did nothing wrong, au contraire, he's so sweet. And they just click. Their's no passion with Luke, don'tcha reckon. Well, whatever. We were all supposed to accept chris when Luke was being a prat and I did.

I like Lorelai and Chris together. Obviously they have a lot of history and know each other so well. But although I believe they will always mean a lot to each other, they're no comparison to Luke and Lorelai. Luke and Lorelai were always meant to be together and I can't believe she got married to Chris in the end and not Luke. The writers messed up season 7 big time... not just because she was with Chris, but because it didn't make sense - the fact that she got over Luke in like two episodes?!

i just noticed that chris did the same to lorelai like lorelai did to luke. putting an ultimatum "marry me NOW come on lets go" it think that made her say yes, since she obviously wasn't ready for it!

@Smartgirlsona I'll settle for the idea that had Amy Sherman-Palladino stayed on for the seventh season, it would have been Christopher at the end and not Luke.

@Smartgirlsona Yea, see, again, this may be my iffy mind, but I only remember Chris leaving when he was involved with Sherry and when he was going to have a baby. Neither of which are fear of commitment. However, Luke put off the wedding, profusely. I won't put Luke down anymore; I like Luke. Just prefer Christopher WITH Lorelai. Who I and many believe gets Lorelai in a way Luke never will.

@OhhMyApplePiie You caught me, I did make fun of the phrase ;) but it's not because we disagree. I completely agree that Chris should have supported his baby and was right in going back to Sherry. This is, however, the reason why I don't believe he's right for Lorelai... the circumstances usually end up with him leaving her (whether to care for his baby or out of fear of commitment). I prefer Luke and Lorelai as a couple

Leaving when Sherry got pregnant? That was EMBRACING commitment. Just because Sherry wasn't the star of the show, not everyone sees it. But look at everyone's side.

And I have a problem with the plural that everyone uses, because he ran off TO HIS BABY once.

I hate him because he always pulls stunts like that. He gets Lorelai emotionally invested in something and finds some reason to run off, avoiding commitment
