On July 18, 2009, dancers from the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange performed at the Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington, DC. The dancers were located all over the museum and at the end of their performance, they moved down the grand stairway to the main level of the museum. I had an unusual perspective for this -- as I stood on the stairway landing, the dancers moved just inches from me, until it seemed like I was among them. Then they moved down the stairs, singing. I don't know what the dance what intended to signify, but any dancer that moves is a celebration of life. At the end of the dance, I conduct a brief interview with two of the dancers, Noah and Rianne.
I shot this with my Canon Vixia HF11 HD camcorder.
