Just finished watching mildred pierce miniseries on hbo and was blown away by the voice, now I have the true face of the most wonderful sound I have ever heard! Thanks whoever put this up for us to enjoy.

I really can't stand these comparisons that simply don't make sense. Sumi Jo is a beautiful artist in her own right. Comparing her to Sutherland or Callas is not fair. I saw her in Rigoletto at the Met with Alfredo Kraus and they were both spectacular!

Well what can you say then other that she is beautiful and a great talent. This was a marvelous performance. I have known about Sumi Jo for many years. I have the first CD that was available of her talent in the US. She has just become even better with the passing of time. BRAVO!

@Dymension I absolutely agree... The comparisons in order to deem who is best rather than to appreciate each vocalist's own stylings and giftings are so out of line.

This is probably the most painful performance I've heard of this aria... I know Sumi is popular and I do respect her work but this kind of repertoire is just not comfortable for you Ms. Jo... for anyone who is interested... Edita Gruberova's rendition of this piece is frighteningly perfect (as with so many others).
