One of my students put a pencil in my lead pipe - it was there until I washed it - dont remember how long but must have been at least a month or so - thought I was just getting older - Kevin remember Jack Shelden - some one made a mouthpiece with holes in it so it would sound like him - chow roger

Hey Kevin it's Rob here from Berklee....I dig the vintage horn vibe. I have been teaching here for 2 years now and have been steering my students to play vintage. Anyway...I'll give you a call.....nice chops my friend

Perhaps this isn't actually you who posted the video. I was wondering how long you put the Trumpet down before figuring out that the fingernail indent was probably red rot eating at the Leadpipe. You sound great by the way. Much more in Chet's direction. Is that a Martin Commitee?

Hi, this is Randy Cole, the film maker. I think Kevin struggled with the horn for a few years before discovering the leakage problem. He is playing his mid 40's raw brass Committee (at the time this was filmed, it was his primary horn). In the other short film 'The Vintage Horn', he's playing a 40's Conn experimental prototype cornet throughout the performance, and during the credit roll, a late 30's Conn 38A Special cornet, both are featured on 'The Conn Loyalist' site.
