  • Thanks for the good comments. The video was made to promote the film finance package that the Idaho film commission is putting together in Boise. Idaho is still not in a position to compete even with Oregon; so I guess it didn't work. I've since moved to California to get work in the movie industry. Even films that are being written about Idaho aren't made here because there are such poor financial incentives. .

  • I lived in Wallace during Heaven's Gates (1979). It sure can create excitment. 

  • Wallace seemed to be the perfect location with all the mountains.

    Dante's Peak was a digitally altered hill next to the city.

  • i love this movie! i always point out the people i know personally who appear in it lol!

  • i went fishing there on Mirror lake, very good fishing.

  • only moved to silverton 4 years ago so i wasnt ther when they made the movie

  • i love there too...i wish i were there during the ash part

  • I enjoyed it. I live in Wallace and it's nice to hear business owners say "good things" on camera even though they sometimes were saying something else at the Post Office.
