no, but most games are able to benefit from multiplayer. sure, games like zelda and paper mario and certain types of rpgs shouldn't have multiplayer, and are worse because of it. however, there are quite a few games that would benefit. Look at R&C:UYA. it has a great score, and it is made better from multiplayer. then look at its sequel, and you can see where the limit should be in video games.

You know Galaxy has no multiplayer. Ya that second control thing is something they added, but it's not Multiplayer. So you are one of those who believe that every game. No matter what kind it is need a multiplayer. So for example a Cooking Mama game should have a multiplayer? The point of the video is not make Multiplayer important to a score. If the game is a single player adventure game. A great 30 hour game is better then a average 15 hour game with a multiplayer mode. Even a great 15 hr one

a game should have multiplayer, and of course the lack of multiplayer will decrease the score because multiplayer can extend the life of a game. however, the reason why Uncharted 2 is such a good game is because just about everything about it is great. multiplayer is just a part of how they judge games, just like bad physics will be a part of how they review a game. if multiplayer is so important to a score, then look at SMG. it is right now the highest rated exclusive, yet terrible multiplayer.

Well I'm not trying to discredit the games. It's more about the opinion of the industry. Does what the masses say have a effect on scores and sales. Review sites are saying all games need some kind of Multiplayer. They show it in their score. So then the buyer assumes that should be the standard. When a good game come with not multiplayer, and gets a score to reflect that. How do gamers respond. Well they don't buy. There are some examples.

Metroid shouldn't have lost points for multiplayer really. Multiplayer doesn't work on metroid as there are only like 4 guns.

i think it might be about 9.4 or so since one reviewer said that is had "one of the best single player campaigns of all-time" 0.1 point wouldn't make much of a difference to me. i'm.getting the game because i enjoyed the gun-play in uncharted 1. if people review it high as well, than that's just a bonus.
Look at Ratchet and Clank future: it is (to me) one ofthe best exclusive series on the ps3. but according to metacritic, it got only a 89. Do i care? no, because it is a game i enjoy playing.

That's what I saying. Would the game still be a 9.5 without the Multiplayer. It's part 2 7 points better than part 1. Hard to really say, but it seems like it. When every review takes about how good the Online. As much or more then the single player game.
wait a sec why do people think that nintendo wi-fi connection sucks-

Mainly for having Friend Codes, not having a mic at the beginning, and other PSN Xbox Live features.
