Apparently George Jr wasnt respected by GHBush his entire life, his presidency not withstanding. Dubbya was the fuckup of the family, the embarrassment... and struggled with his father complex everyday of his father never being able to tell him how proud he was or give him credit... with the massive failures, flaws and obvious mental disorders surrounding George Jr... how did this idiot become president? & guess what? look what happened? complete and utter political and economic ruin of the US

@davd1986 Exactly right, Bush Sr was told by the Arab Coalition that taking out Saddam would have been a bad idea and Iraq would have breaken into pieces, making factions start a civil war there fight over territories one by one and it would cost thousands of American lives. Even Gulf War U.S. General "Stormin" Norman even said that going onto Baghdad and take out Saddam Hussein isn't a good idea either and felt it was a right decision to stop after expelling Iraqi troops from Kuwait.

@Hperman09 So pretty much everything that could have gone wrong with the 2003 Iraq invasion did go wrong, and why Bush Sr didn't Invade 12 years earlier, correct? Dick Cheney pretty much said the same thing that you wrote here, in 1994.

You all, congress passed a bill that would restrict trade from china. Bush vetoed it and and the senate failed to override it. Think of where we would be if he signed that back in 1989.

Bush Sr said the reason why he didn't pushed onto Baghdad and remove Saddam in 1991 was that it would have human and politcal consequences, both human lives and money. Iraq would have descend into what it look like today.... tribal chaos, in-fighting territorial disputes between Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites, and most fear of all, the invasion of Iraq by Iran. We didn't want to destroy the Iraqi military competely when the U.S. finally expel Iraq from Kuwait.

@batista9008 that is called compound interest and forward accounting - we still don't know how much money Bush 1 and 2 spent because they conveniently had all the records for military spending destroyed on September 11 2001, in a CIA false flag operation; which also conveniently demolished two buildings engineers swore should never have been built because there was no safe or practical way to demolish them; That is until the development of Thermalite. Coincidence?
