  • I can't believe this was recorded such a short time before he passed away! He seemed so full of life and projects... I miss him every day but of course this month is even tougher...

    Michael... you'll never be forgotten.

  • Drinking coffee...I wish, I wish, I wish Michael had just called down to room service that morning, on Nov. 22nd, for some coffee and toast, something to help him hold on just a little bit longer until Michelle Bennet got there at 10:40.

  • This was not recorded in November 1997. Michael was not in CA then and his hair was cut much shorter about a month before his death.

  • Sitting here watching this...it is really hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that 2 weeks later, he would take his own life. Whatever drove him to do what he did...I hope he is at peace.

  • @bf8scqs well he talked about suicide CONSTANTLY in his last year.....i know he was depressed cuz of drug use.....but im sure he has said he didnt want to live to be 40......or couldnt imagine himself being 40....lol......

  • @sylicone221 The only thing I recall reading is that the rock&roll lifestyle is for the young. I don't think he had a death wish or death obsession.

  • @bf8scqs ok....so he never said he didnt want to live to be 40? lol.....he never told any reporter rock stars should die young? not sure where i read that...

  • @sylicone221 In the book it states in Ch17-- "Michael had announced many times he did not want to be a forty-year-old starving rock and roll frontman forced to play small venues to pay the bills. He was proud of his investments had spoken of how he had set his affairs up in an ironclad manor. " An Australian paper noted that MH's estate was worth zilch, but the properties & future royalties go to separate trust that executors control.

  • @bf8scqs ok i read that too, but i did read that he didnt want to live to be 40? did you read the last chapter in just a man towards the end? so ur saying he lost the money he made or got screwed? i remember reading that....

  • @sylicone221 you seriously need to stop putting that all over the place or get it right. He didn't want to be a struggling 40 yr rock band frontman, struggling to make a living, going gig to gig. This is what is in "Just a Man" & refers to MH working hard to ensure his financial security only to have insult added to injury when the executors of his will stole his estate/properties/on-going royalties and stating MH owned none of them. But somehow the executors & their kids reap the rewards.

  • @GN400ladyrailfan he always said he didnt want to live to be 40...honestly, who does/ hehehehee.....what u think of that?

  • @Tobysmooched cocaine doesnt make you commit suicide, TRUST ME! it does just the opposite....dont know about prozac heheheee
