When I saw the film for the first time I was thinking that the creepy,dark figure that Harry Angel sees here in this scene and elsewhere later on [and which doesn't even seem to be alive...sort of bringing to mind the corpse of Mrs Bates from PSYCHO the way it just sits there so silently ] might have been the killer.
