@NobodyInAllofOZ1 And Liza had already won 2 Tonys in this category and had an honorary one as well. I don't think she was too upset about losing this time around, especially to her co-star and very good friend. Looking at these clips you see La Cage, Sunday in the Park, and Rink all opening in one season-- god, what a good year!

Haha, everyone tryes to clap but she talks and talks and talks. XD

Chita deserved this award; she was magnificent in The Rink. She is a gracious, talented actress. You can tell how even this audience loves her, from the applause and howls she got just from the mentioning of her name by Robert Preston.

Damn Liza almost flashed beaver!

I know this clip is supposed to be about Chita, but I have to comment that Robert Preston is just so charming and wonderful I can't get over it.

I did see this show on Broadway....although a flawed show, it was nonetheless very good...an original musical, original book...something you don't see much of the past few decades as everything is a remake or a rehash of an old movie. I'd love to see it redone...has some wonderful musical #s

She's a great performer. It's too bad that the movie industry did not know how to use her mafnifcent talent.

I love how spastic Liza gets. Like, she threw herself into that chair, she was so elated!
